By the end of the first module, you will be able to discuss what neuroendocrine cells are and how they function under normal circumstances, how neuroendocrine cancers (NETs) are classified, as well as their incidence and prevalence. You will also be able to explain what risk factors are associated with NETs and how clinical presentation, biomarker assays, histological examination and imaging techniques can be used to diagnose NETs.
After the second module you will be able to describe treatment goals in NETs, as well as the role of different therapies, and the current treatment guidelines for gastrointestinal and pancreatic NETs.
